Naqio is a halal food scanner that verifies instead of guessing. Scan a barcode or photograph an ingredient label, and Naqio checks it against a curated database of 427 E-numbers and food additives, then shows you a clear verdict, with the source behind every call.

Most apps give you one answer. Naqio gives you two. Every product is checked on two axes: the ingredients and the meat or slaughter status, so you know exactly why something is halal, haram, or doubtful.

Naqio follows one clear rule: unless an ingredient is certainly haram, it is halal. Pork, alcohol, blood and carrion always block a label, wherever they appear on the pack — the only text that changes that is an explicit "contains no pork" style claim, which Naqio reads as the claim it is. Doubtful items, like gelatin of unstated source or meat without certification, count as halal by default, because a doubt does not overturn what is otherwise permitted. Prefer the strict reading? Cautious mode in Settings flags every doubt and every unrecognised ingredient instead. And Naqio always answers: a label it cannot read with confidence is never called halal. Only a photo with no ingredient list on it asks for a retake.
