Crowd Beam: Find Each Other

Two phones, two lights. Share a link, hold your phone high, and find each other.

Crowd Beam turns two phones into two lights.

One of you taps Share and sends a link. The other opens it. Each phone lights up in its own color. Hold yours high, look for theirs, and when you spot each other, tap Found each other. Only one of you needs the app installed, the link sent will automatically detect if they also have Crowd Beam installed, and if not they will get a web version to see. You could also just open it up, and shine your own light if your friends think of you when they see Cerulean, or Burnt Sienna.

• No account or sign-up. A pairing ends when you leave or find each other, and is deleted after at most six hours. • Your friend can join in a browser. If they don't have the app, the shared link turns their phone into the second beacon. • Bright where it counts. The screen becomes your beacon, with an optional steady flashlight on supported iPhones. • Send a nudge. Tap Pulse or I see you to light up the edges of the other person's screen. • Know when they're there. See when the other person steps away and returns. • Choose steady or pulsing light. Reduce Motion and Dim Flashing Lights are supported. Lock the controls to avoid stray touches while holding your phone up.

Pairing and nudges need an internet connection. Crowd Beam does not use your location.
