Orbit Drop - Merge Puzzle

Match two orbs and they merge. Ten seconds to learn, a long time to master. Miss too often and the jar overloads. Something is hiding in the stones.

How long can you sit at 99% Overload? What comes out of a stone left alone too long? And who is the ghost dropping rocks into your jar?

Orbit Drop takes ten seconds to learn and a very long time to get good at. Match two orbs of the same colour and they merge into a bigger one. That is the entire tutorial.

Getting good is the other part. Every drop that fails to merge heats the Overload bar, and a full bar ends the run. Chains cool it back down. But merges made while the bar sits in the red are worth double, so the neat, cautious game is the one that scores badly. Living close to the edge is the whole skill.

STUFF THAT HAPPENS TO YOU

• STORMS: gusts shove your aim sideways, then reverse halfway through
• FLOODS: the jar fills with water. Stones sink, small orbs bob on top
• SNOWFALL: every orb you drop smashes whatever it lands on
• STONE: orbs left sitting too long harden, and stones merge with nothing
• A GHOST: turns up late in a long run and starts dropping rocks. It speeds up
• MELTDOWN: fill the bar and you get seconds to chain your way back out

• BOMB: clears every stone in the jar
• MAGNET: pulls same colours together
• WILD: merges with any colour
• COOL: empties the Overload bar
• SUPERNOVA: merge two of the biggest orbs and watch the jar clear
• LETTER ORBS: spell O·R·B·I·T for a bonus and a skin

There are secrets in here too. Some stones are hiding something, and it takes most players a long while to find out what.
