SOS GPS and wandering alerts for dementia safety
Define a safe zone around home. If your parent with dementia wanders or gets lost, a one‑tap SOS sends the exact real‑time GPS location to family. Helps carers respond quickly to Alzheimer’s wandering risks. How the rescue system works – Important: For privacy and phone security, HelpMemory does not run in the background or automatically track location. The rescue system works only when: • The HelpMemory app is open on the user’s phone. • The user moves more than 500 metres from their registered home location. When both conditions are met, the app displays the emergency page. One tap instantly shares the user’s precise location with family and opens Google Maps to guide them home. If the app is closed, the rescue function will not operate. Example: Imagine your elderly parent gets lost and feels disoriented. They may not know where they are, but if they open the HelpMemory app, the emergency page appears. With one tap on the SOS button, their exact GPS location is sent to the family, and Google Maps opens to guide them safely back home.
