Groundwar is a strategy game built on top of the real world. Capture strongholds at locations near you, send marches to attack rival territory, and defend what's yours from pillager raids and enemy factions. Every walk is a chance to expand your empire.

THREE FACTIONS, ONE WAR:

Pick your Faction: the disciplined Myrmidon, the heavy-armored Cataphract, or the swift economic Djinn. Each faction has unique unit rosters, abilities, and combat styles. Choose carefully: switching is not easy.

MOVE TO CONQUER:

Strongholds are tied to real-world locations near you. Capture them by physically being in range. Watch your territory grow as you explore your neighborhood, your commute, your city. The more you walk, the more you own.

RECRUIT UNITS:

Every faction shares base units, but have their own unique unit. Amass your army and start capturing Strongholds.

UPGRADES:

Strategically plan your upgrade path. Will you focus on pure strength, go for a heavy defensive turtle strategy, or maximize your Marks per hour?

COMMAND MARCHES:

Send your units on campaigns against enemy zones. Plan your attacks around march timing, faction matchups, and stronghold defenses. Banner-march to distant targets with limited-use charges.

DEFEND OR LOSE EVERYTHING:

Build walls and turrets to fortify your strongholds. Station units to repel attacks. Watch for pillager raids — NPC threats that steal resources if left unchecked.

COSMETICS THAT MATTER:

Customize your marches with chevron trails, shape glyphs, and color palettes. Decorate your T1 strongholds with special effects: snowfall, rain, falling petals. Make your faction's footprint unmistakable.
