Neighborhood Navigators is the volunteer field app for political campaigns and committees running on the Politihub platform. It puts everything a volunteer needs to do real organizing work — knock doors, make calls, send texts, collect signatures, complete training, and pick up shifts — into one focused, offline-first app scoped to your committee.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Canvass door to door. Pick up a walk list from your committee, see who's behind each door, follow an optimized route with turn-by-turn walking directions to the next stop, record outcomes (not home, refused, supportive, undecided, moved, and more), answer survey questions, and capture notes or a photo — all from one screen.
• Phone bank. Work a call list with tap-to-dial, log outcomes, and flag wrong numbers or do-not-call requests as you go.
• Text bank. Send personalized, templated peer-to-peer messages and handle replies in a guided queue that respects opt-outs.
• Collect petition and ballot-access signatures. Look signers up against the voter file, capture a signature or a photo of a physical petition page, and submit cleanly with the details your campaign needs.
• Train up. Complete the learning courses your committee assigns — reading, video, and quizzes — and revisit any course any time to brush up.
• Browse the opportunity board. Find open shifts and tasks your committee has posted and claim the ones that fit your schedule.
BUILT TO WORK OFFLINE
Rural turf, apartment basements, dead zones — Neighborhood Navigators keeps working with no signal. Every knock, call, text, and signature you capture offline is saved in an encrypted on-device database and syncs automatically the moment you're back online. You never lose work, and you never have to wait for a connection to keep moving.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Your committee decides what you can see, and voter data is scoped to your assigned turf. The optional GPS breadcrumb — which helps your campaign visualize which turf has been knocked — is off by default and takes two separate opt-ins: your committee enables it, and you turn it on yourself in the Me screen. Location is sampled only while you are actively in a canvass session in the app, and it stops the moment you leave the canvass screen or close the app. There is no background or always-on location tracking, and you can turn it off at any time.
GETTING STARTED
Neighborhood Navigators is for volunteers on a campaign or committee that uses Politihub. Request access by choosing your committee (or entering a join code) in the app; once your organizer approves you, sign in and your assigned work appears in your inbox. You'll need internet access for initial sign-in and for sync — the field work itself does not.
