Level pairs a live sound-level meter with a built-in reference generator, so you can set speaker levels, match channels, and verify system balance — without switching tools. One focused app for dialing in a system by ear or by the number, not a busy measurement suite.

The 1 kHz tone pairs with a 94 dB acoustic calibrator for closing the true-SPL loop • Peak-hold "Max" — a marker floats to the loudest moment and holds it, so you can confirm a peak or compare one speaker against another; reset with a tap • A, C & Z frequency weighting — A for how ears hear (default), C for full-range and bass-heavy systems, Z unweighted; Fast (125 ms) or Slow (1 s) response • Play the reference out any output you choose — iPhone speaker, AirPlay, Bluetooth, or a USB interface — while the meter keeps reading, to match levels and set gains • Calibrated-mic support for true SPL — plug in a USB measurement mic and import its calibration file. Works with the Dayton iMM-6C, miniDSP UMIK-1, UMIK-2, and EARS, Behringer ECM8000, and REW cal exports. PRIVACY Audio is measured in real time only — never recorded, written to disk, or transmitted. The reference signals are generated on-device. Level collects no data, has no accounts or analytics, and makes no network connections at all.

With the built-in microphone, absolute readings are approximate; a calibrated USB measurement mic (with its cal file, and a 1 kHz sensitivity in that file) gives true SPL. Either way, Level is not certified measurement — don't rely on it where a certified Type 1/Type 2 sound level meter is required.
