To sign up, you'll need the Contractor ID from your tree care company — Pocket Arborist is offered through participating tree and lawn service companies, and your ID links your account to the right one so every request you send reaches them, not a call center.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Tree & Shrub Diagnosis Take a few photos of the affected leaves, bark, or branches. Pocket Arborist scores what it sees against a reference dataset of known issues and gives you a confidence-rated result: a likely diagnosis, a best-guess plant species, and other conditions it's worth ruling out. When nothing in the dataset is a strong match, you'll still get an AI-suggested read, clearly labeled as such rather than presented as a confirmed diagnosis.

Lawn Diagnosis Photograph the trouble spot and add a few notes — patchy color, thinning, spots, whatever you're seeing. Your notes and photos go straight to your tree care company.

Pruning & Removal Requests Need a quote for pruning or removal? Attach up to three photos and send the request directly to your tree care company — no diagnosis needed for this one.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

Every result is honest about its own confidence. A dataset-backed match is labeled as one. An AI-only best guess is labeled as one, too — never dressed up as more certain than it is. And Pocket Arborist is upfront about its limits: it's guidance, not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified arborist, and it's not the tool to lean on for tree removal, pruning, or pesticide decisions. If a tree presents an immediate hazard to people or property, contact your tree care company right away.
