EventContacts helps you keep track of everyone you meet at conferences, trade shows, meetups, festivals and events of all kinds.

EventContacts is an iPhone app for organising the contacts you collect at conferences, trade shows, meetups, festivals, and business events. Contact information you might collect at events can end up all over the place — business cards, notes on bits of paper, LinkedIn connections with no record of the conversation. EventContacts solves this by giving every event you attend its own space to store the people you meet, so contacts stay organised and the context behind them isn't lost.

How it works: First record your own contact details to share. Then create an event for your upcoming conference, meetup, trade show, etc. Once saved, if you edit the event you can add it to your Calendar app. Whilst attending the event you can add the people you meet.

Ways to add contacts:

• Scan a QR code to add another EventContacts user's details instantly.
• Exchange details peer-to-peer with nearby users over a local network (NOT the open internet).
• Enter contacts manually for people who don't have the app - capturing name, email, and optionally: phone, company, role, social handle, and a note. Every contact is stored under the event where you met them, with a date, location (optional), and notes (optional) attached.

Follow up is easy! Select one or more contacts and email them (uses Mail app) right from within EventContacts.

Privacy: The events you attend the related contacts you record are stored on your iPhone. No third-party cloud or database. Information is only shared when you actively choose to send it — by showing your QR code or starting a peer-to-peer exchange. Delete the app and your data is removed from your device.

Siri and Shortcuts: Use Siri or Apple Shortcuts to open the app, create an event, or add a contact to an existing event.

Getting started: EventContacts is free to download. The free version supports one event with up to six contacts, enough to try the full workflow before deciding whether to unlock unlimited events and contacts with a one-time purchase.

Final Clarifying Note: In case it's not obvious by this point, to get the full benefit of the app, eg: sharing contact information via QR code or peer-to-peer network, the people you meet who you want to add as a contact (and/or share your details with) need to have EventContacts installed on their iPhone as well. Although, as mentioned, contacts can be added 'manually'.
