Features & Capabilities

Never let another medicine quietly expire. Scan the label, save the dates, and MedXpiryTracker reminds you the day before — all on your device, no account needed.

How many half-used bottles of cough syrup, allergy pills, or vitamins are sitting in your cabinet right now? When did they expire? MedXpiryTracker answers that for you — quietly and privately. Add a medicine in seconds, and the app reminds you the day before it expires so you can use it, refill it, or safely dispose of it. Why MedXpiryTracker

Reduce waste. Catch medicines before they expire, not after. Stay safe. Expired medicines lose potency and can be unsafe. Stay calm. No more squinting at tiny printed dates. Stay private. Your data never leaves your device.

Scan, don't type

Most medicine labels are printed in fonts too small to read comfortably. Point your camera at the box and the app reads the name and dates using on-device text recognition. Tap what you want, confirm, and you're done — no login, no QR codes. You can still type or pick dates manually; the scanner is there to save time, not limit you. Reminders that work the way you do

The day before a medicine expires, your iPhone delivers an "Expiry reminder" notification with Snooze and Cancel actions. Choose your snooze duration when saving the medicine — from a few minutes to a full day — so reminders loop back at a convenient time. Tap the notification to jump straight to the medicine's details and delete it in one tap. Manage your cabinet at a glance

Every saved medicine appears in a scrollable list showing its manufacturing date, expiry date, reminder time, and snooze setting. Expired items are visually flagged. Swipe any row to edit or delete — its scheduled notification is cancelled automatically. Private by design

No account, sign-in, or email required. No analytics, ads, or third-party trackers. No cloud storage — your list is saved as an encrypted file in the app's private sandbox and deleted with the app. All text recognition runs on-device via Apple's Vision framework. Camera images never leave your iPhone.

How it works

Tap to add a medicine. Type the name, or tap "Scan medicine name" and point the camera at the box. Scan or manually pick the manufacturing date, then the expiry date. Choose your snooze interval and tap Save.

You'll get a notification one day before expiry. Tap it to view the medicine and decide what to do. Input is validated on save — expiry must be after manufacturing date, and the name can't be blank. Who it's for

Parents managing a family cabinet, carers of elderly relatives, people with chronic conditions, travellers with a medical kit, or anyone who's ever found an expiry date that quietly slipped past. Permissions

Camera: only when you tap Scan — recognition is fully on-device. Notifications: requested when you save your first medicine.

Both can be revoked in iOS Settings at any time. Without the camera, you can still type manually. Without notifications, your list still works — you just won't receive reminders. Built to last
