Stereo Theater

Turn side-by-side and over-under videos you're already watching on the web into true stereoscopic 3D on Apple Vision Pro — no downloads, no re-encoding.

Stereo Theater adds a "Watch in 3D" button to web pages that have a playing video. Tap it to enter an immersive WebXR scene where the video is shown on a virtual screen with the correct half of the frame sent to each eye, for real stereoscopic depth.

• Works on any website you enable it for — you stay in control of per-site access.
• Auto-detects the stereo packing (over-under, side-by-side, or 2D), crops letterbox bars and the gap between views, and sizes the screen so the image isn't stretched.
• In-headset controls (look + pinch): play/pause, skip ±10 s, a progress bar, screen size and distance, flat or curved screen, recenter, swap eyes, and format override.

It does not download, re-encode, or bypass anything. It reuses the page's already-playing video as a texture and renders it per eye. No data is collected, no external servers are contacted, and your settings stay on your device.

Requires WebXR enabled in Safari on visionOS, and video that plays via native HLS (the common case on streaming sites).
