MobileDB: Postgres Client

MobileDB is a native PostgreSQL client for iPhone and iPad. Connect straight from your device to any Postgres database - over TLS or through an in-app SSH tunnel - and browse, query, and edit your data from anywhere. There is no backend and no account: your credentials live in the iOS Keychain and your data travels only between your device and your own servers.

CONNECT YOUR WAY • Save multiple connections with passwords and SSH keys secured in the Keychain • TLS modes: require & verify, allow self-signed, or disable for local networks • Built-in SSH tunneling (the app does the ssh -L for you) with trust-on-first-use host-key pinning for databases behind a bastion

BROWSE • Schema → table → row navigation with search • Structure view: columns, types, primary-key badges, defaults • Paginated data grid with sorting, sticky column headers, and one-tap refresh • Tap any cell to inspect and copy the full value • Filter by a value, or jump along a foreign key to the referenced row

QUERY • SQL editor with autocomplete (tables, columns, keywords) • Query history and saved queries • Export results to CSV or JSON

EDIT • Type-aware row editor - toggles for booleans, number pads, date pickers, UUID helpers • Insert, update, and delete keyed on the primary key • Unsaved-changes guard so you never lose an edit by accident

DASHBOARDS • Build quick, native dashboards right on your phone - no SQL required • "Total count" for a big-number metric (e.g. total users) • "Count over time" - pick a date column and a window (24h to 12 months) for a trend chart • "Count by category" - a bar chart broken down by any column • Or write custom SQL and pick how to chart it (number, bar, line, or table) • Charts render natively with Swift Charts; refresh a whole dashboard with one tap

WORK SAFELY IN PRODUCTION • Tag a connection as Development, Staging, or Production • Production shows an always-on red banner so you always know where you are • Open any connection read-only - the session is read-only and all write UI is hidden • A destructive-statement guard warns before UPDATE/DELETE without WHERE, and TRUNCATE / DROP / ALTER
