Tap a key and a real note plays. That is the whole of it: eight big rainbow keys, each one carrying its solfege syllable from Do up to the next Do, and every single tap sounds good.

HOW IT PLAYS

• Tap any of the eight rainbow keys to hear that note
• Stay in Free Play and make up whatever you feel like
• Open Play Along and one key glows, tap it to move the song forward
• Only the glowing key advances the song, so a stray tap costs nothing

FIVE INSTRUMENTS Piano, xylophone, drums, bells and guitar. The pitched instruments share the same eight-key layout, so a song played on the piano plays note for note on the xylophone or the bells. The drum kit trades the solfege syllables for seven named pads: kick, snare, tom, hat, clap, bell and wood.

EIGHT PLAY-ALONG SONGS Rainbow Scale, Twinkle Twinkle, Mary's Lamb, Old MacDonald, Row Your Boat, Hot Cross Buns, The Happy Bus and Rainbow Run. Each one lights the next key to tap, so a whole song can be played by following the glow without reading a single note.

NO TIMER, NO SCORE, NO WRONG NOTE Nothing counts down and nothing runs out. Take a song at four seconds a note or four minutes a note. A tap on an unlit key in Play Along simply does not advance the song, so a miss stays music instead of turning into a mistake.

TEN COLOR THEMES, ALL FREE Midnight, bubbles, jungle, ocean, sunset, candy, lagoon, berry, sunshine and cocoa. Every theme is open from the first launch and none of them sit behind the purchase.
