KomaViewer is a comic and manga reader built specifically for visionOS. It provides a native interface for managing, extracting, and viewing digital comic archives in a spatial computing environment.

Supported Formats: The application supports standard comic archive formats including ZIP, CBZ, RAR, and 7z. KomaViewer processes and extracts these archives locally on the device without requiring an active internet connection or external server processing.

File Management: Users can import archives into the application's local sandbox storage, organize them into custom directories, and manage files using standard selection, moving, and deletion tools. Alternatively, KomaViewer integrates with the visionOS file system to open and read external archives and folders directly from the Files app. This allows users to read their content in-place without duplicating files into the application's local storage.

Reading Interface: The reader utilizes standard visionOS windowing to display image content. Navigation is handled via a custom scrubber bar positioned below the image viewer, allowing users to scroll through pages rapidly. A numerical page counter tracks the current position within the archive. The reader supports both standard Left-to-Right and Right-to-Left reading modes, which can be toggled by the user to match the formatting of western comics or eastern manga.

Architecture and Performance: KomaViewer is developed in Swift using SwiftUI. It employs asynchronous image loading and memory caching to handle high-resolution images and large archives. Archive extraction is handled by integrated third-party frameworks, including ZIPFoundation and PLzmaSDK, to ensure compatibility with various compression algorithms.

Privacy Practices: KomaViewer is designed with strict data privacy principles. The application operates entirely offline and performs all file extraction and image rendering locally on the device. It does not collefct telemetry, usage analytics, or personal data. No user files, data, or reading history are transmitted to external servers or third parties. The application only utilizes file system access to interact with the specific archives and directories explicitly opened or imported by the user.
