Language Tutor is a language-learning tool you practice by chatting. A patient tutor role-plays a conversation partner in the language you're learning, replies at your level, and gently corrects your mistakes so each exchange becomes a small lesson. No teacher to book, no class to attend, no judgment.

ON-DEVICE FIRST, PRIVATE BY DESIGN The tutor runs on your device. After an initial setup download there is no cloud, no account, and no server — turn on airplane mode and keep practicing to see for yourself. On the few devices that can't run the on-device tutor, an optional cloud tutor is available instead: it activates only after you explicitly agree, only chat messages are sent while it's on, and you can turn it off anytime. Saved phrases and settings always stay on your phone.

LEARN BY DOING, NOT MEMORIZING • Conversation practice — chat through real scenarios: ordering food, the airport, small talk, directions, and more. • Gentle corrections — mistakes are corrected kindly, with a hint when you get stuck, so you actually improve. • Suggestions when words fail you — tap one of three opening lines to begin, or ask “What should I say?” mid-chat for a few short replies you can send as they are. • Instant meaning — tap a tutor message and what it means appears in your own language, right under the bubble. • Choose your level — beginner to advanced; the tutor adjusts how it speaks to you. • Pick your target language — separate from the app's menu language. • One tap to start — your language, level and scenario carry over from last time, so practice begins the moment you open the app.

A REAL STUDY TOOLKIT • Phrasebook — save useful lines from any chat into a local phrasebook, grouped by scenario. • Scenario guides — offline guides for common situations, plus grammar and usage tips. • Review — come back to your saved phrases and practice them again. • Practice record — days practiced, conversations and saved phrases at a glance, with a shortcut to whatever is due for review. This record lives only on this phone.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS Language Tutor is a practice and study tool for everyday conversation, not a certified course or a human teacher. The on-device tutor needs a capable device; on older or low-memory phones it falls back to a built-in scripted tutor so it never crashes.
