Shade IQ is the walking navigation app that picks the shadiest route — not just the shortest. Whether you're walking to work, taking the dog out, or running errands on a hot day, Shade IQ routes you through tree canopies and building shadows so you arrive cooler, safer, and more comfortable.

Shade IQ analyzes the streets around you using building profiles, high-resolution canopy data and live sun position to find the path with the most shade between two points. As the sun moves through the day, the same route looks different — Shade IQ recalculates in real time so the shadiest path is always current.
