Your playlist covers say a lot about your taste. Lunex is the fastest way to make them look exactly how you want.
Start from anywhere
Got a photo on your camera roll that fits the vibe? Import it in one tap and use it as your cover background. Want something different? Browse thousands of real Unsplash photos sorted by mood — music, abstract, nature, urban, minimal — and tap any one to pull it straight into the editor. Or generate a one-of-a-kind gradient from a color palette that actually works. Every time you tap Generate, you get something new.
If you'd rather start from a finished concept, the template library has dozens of designs across different styles: bold typographic layouts, minimal artwork with clean white space, layered gradients in warm and cool tones, editorial black-and-white looks. Browse by category, search by name, or scroll the full catalog. Tap a template and it opens ready to customize.
Make it yours
The editor works in real time. Tap any text block to select it, drag it anywhere on the canvas, or use the tray at the bottom to change font, size, color, and opacity. You can stack as many text layers as you need — artist name on one line, album title on another, a year or a mood underneath. Each layer is independent and fully editable.
The background isn't locked either. Adjust the color scrim to let more of the photo show through or darken it for better text contrast. Swap the background photo without losing your text layers. Change the base color of a gradient in one tap. The editor keeps everything intact while you experiment with what goes behind it.
Fonts cover a range of styles — serif, sans-serif, rounded, condensed, display — so there's something for most aesthetics. Colors are picked from a full palette with opacity control, so you can layer semi-transparent text on a busy photo and still have it read clearly.
Connect your music apps
Lunex connects to Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music. Once connected, you can apply a finished cover directly to any playlist in your library — no copying the image, no switching apps, no uploading manually. Tap the playlist, confirm, done.
You can connect all three services, just one, or none. If you'd rather skip it, save your cover art to your photo library and set it from the music app yourself. The exported file is square and full resolution, exactly what each platform expects.
Free plan and Lunex Pro
The free plan lets you create and save up to 5 covers, which is enough to get started. Lunex Pro removes that limit — keep as many covers as you want, organized in your personal library so you can find them quickly. Pro also unlocks the complete template catalog, including designs not available on the free tier.
Privacy and storage
Everything runs on-device. Your covers are stored locally — nothing is sent to a server. When you export a cover, it goes to your photo library. When you apply one to a playlist, it goes directly to the music platform. Unsplash photos are loaded from Unsplash's servers when you browse them; no Unsplash account is required.
Works on iPhone and iPad, iOS 16 or later. Supports light mode, dark mode, and follows your system setting automatically.
