First-time setup To keep the install size small, Gemma and WhisperKit models are downloaded inside the app on first launch (~3GB). Resume supported; users in China can use the ModelScope mirror. After download, practice works offline.

Privacy & data Privoca does not operate backend servers to store your conversations. Your voice, text, and practice data stay on your device by default. The microphone is used only when you actively record. Model files are downloaded from third-party sources (e.g. Hugging Face, ModelScope) to your device for offline use.
