LoveGrader: Romance Scam Check

A private, on-device check for new and online relationships. Reflects the signals you describe and flags known romance-scam patterns. Not a verdict or a prediction.

LoveGrader is a private safety check for new and mostly-online relationships. It does two things at once: it reflects the connection signals you describe, and it checks what you tell it against well-known romance-scam warning patterns documented by the FTC and FBI, all on your phone.

What it does

• Walks you through a short, structured questionnaire about how a new connection actually feels and behaves.
• Flags known romance-scam red flags: money by gift card, crypto, wire or bank details; escalating or pressured requests; money that has to go to them or an account you can't verify instead of the real provider; a constant stream of crises that invites offers of help; meeting or video avoidance; avoiding any talk of meeting their family or friends; off-platform secrecy; too-perfect profiles, and more.
• Gives you a clear read of the signals, with a confidence range, plus links to FTC, FBI IC3, and support resources.
• Lets you save check-ins and re-check the same connection over time, with a trend of how the signals are changing. Saved on your device only, as a summary (never your answers), deletable anytime.
• Optional lock over saved check-ins using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
• Optional local reminder to re-check a connection (about two weeks later); scheduled on the device, no server, and the notification never includes the nickname.
• Includes an always-available "Spot a romance scam" guide and a transparent "How this score works" page.

What it is not

• It is not a dating app. There is no matching, no profiles, no chat, and no way to contact anyone.
• It cannot verify anyone or predict the future. It is not a verdict, and it is not professional, legal, financial, or counseling advice. It reflects the signals you report, as a starting point for your own thinking.

Private by design. Everything is computed on your device. Your answers are never uploaded, shared, or sold, and the app collects no information about anyone else. The optional share card shows no score, no names, no photos, and no answers, only an abstract label plus a note that the result is not a verdict or a prediction.
