Enhance your relative pitch
Unlock your musical potential with customizable lessons and Do-Re-Mi training.
Doremia is an ear training app that helps you develop relative pitch by listening to piano notes and identifying them as Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, and Ti.
Practice through structured lessons based on a musical key, and gradually improve your ability to recognize the role of each note within that key.
Unlike absolute pitch, which is typically developed at a very young age, relative pitch can be trained and improved at any age. Doremia is designed for anyone who wants to strengthen their listening skills and deepen their understanding of music.
Doremia focuses on hearing notes as functions within a key rather than as fixed note names.
For example, in C major, C is "Do." In D major, D becomes "Do." By training with movable Do, you learn to recognize how notes relate to each other and where they fit within a musical context.
How It Works
- Choose a lesson or create your own
- Listen to the tonic note or cadence to establish the key
- Listen to the note sequence
- Answer using the on-screen piano keyboard
- Review your results and track your progress
Each question is graded individually, allowing you to immediately identify mistakes and focus on the scale degrees that need more practice.
