Japan Offline Hiking Maps

Added a JMA rain cloud overlay on the map. Check saved maps, GPS location, planned routes, and checkpoints for hiking in Japan.

Japan Offline Hiking Maps helps you save Japanese hiking maps in advance and check your GPS location, saved maps, checkpoints, and planned routes when mobile signal is weak. While online, you can also overlay the Japan Meteorological Agency's rain cloud movement on the map.

The app displays Geospatial Information Authority of Japan map data with MapLibre. Save only the map areas you need, then confirm the saved map outline, your current location, and your checkpoints on the map.

The free version can import one GPX file. Offline Map Japan Pro is a one-time unlock that expands saved maps to 50, checkpoints to 500, enables manual organization for saved maps and checkpoints, checkpoint category, color, memo editing, category/memo search, and allows importing up to 100 GPX files.

This app is not an official Geospatial Information Authority of Japan or Japan Meteorological Agency app. Map, GPS, and rain cloud display are support tools for checking location and map context. The rain cloud overlay does not judge hiking safety or trail availability. Always make decisions using local conditions, signs, official information, and multiple information sources.
