OptoReflex: Eye Tests

OptoReflex turns your iPhone or iPad into a quick, pocket toolkit for screening eye movements and reflexes at the bedside. It brings together classic neuro-ophthalmologic tests in one clean, fast app for clinicians, students and educators.

TESTS INCLUDED

• Optokinetic Reflex (OKN) Full-screen moving stripes act as a digital optokinetic drum to elicit optokinetic nystagmus. Choose stripe colors (black/white by default), speed, thickness and direction, and see a live preview before you start. Turn the device to landscape and observe the patient's eyes.

• Smooth Pursuit & Saccades A target that glides smoothly to test pursuit, or jumps between points to test saccades. Adjustable axis (horizontal, vertical, circular), speed, amplitude, target size and color.

• Amsler Grid A standard grid with a central fixation dot to screen the macula for scotomas and metamorphopsia. Normal and inverted modes, full-screen display and step-by-step instructions.

• Pupillary Reflex with live pupillometry Uses the rear camera with macro focus as a magnifier. It estimates pupil diameter in real time, tracks the minimum and maximum, and plots the response while a light stimulus ramps from dim to maximum to elicit constriction. Align the iris to the on-screen guide and watch the pupil outline track the response.

RECORDING Any test can be recorded. Videos are stored locally on your device with the patient name and date — and, for the pupil test, the live pupil measurements — shown along the bottom of the video. Review, share or export your recordings at any time.

MANY LANGUAGES Includes English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Russian, with an in-app language selector.
