Ahoge Player

Named after the Japanese "ahoge" — a small strand of hair that sticks out unexpectedly — Ahoge Player adds a few unusual but useful features to a familiar music player experience.

Ahoge Player is a simple yet distinctive music player with a variety of unique features, while still providing most of the functionality you would expect from a modern music player.

Advanced A-B Repeat

• Save multiple A-B repeat points for a track.
• Automatically detect loop points in endlessly looping tracks, such as video game music.

AI-Synced Lyrics

• Generate synchronized lyrics automatically using on-device AI.
• AI-synced lyrics are available on iPhone 15 and later.
• Automatic lyric downloading is not supported. Please add lyrics to your songs beforehand using the Music app on macOS or iTunes on Windows.

Customizable UI

• Customize the tabs displayed at the bottom of the screen.
• Designed for comfortable one-handed operation. You can move toolbars closer to your thumb, and on iOS 26, even place the search bar at the bottom of the screen.

Enhanced Favorites

• Add not only songs, but also albums, artists, genres, and playlists to your favorites.
• In the Favorites screen, tapping an album artwork plays its contents, while tapping elsewhere plays all items in that favorite category.
• Pin important items to the top of each screen for quick access.

Other Unique Features

• Quick Queue Switcher (instantly jump to the next or previous album, artist, genre, or playlist)
• Choose whether playback should restart from the beginning or continue from the current position when playing the same song from a different group

Limitations

• Due to iOS limitations, some editing operations are not available for Apple Music playlists. To address this, Ahoge Player also includes its own playlist system.

Additional Information

• This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Ads can be removed through an in-app purchase.
• To help diagnose issues, the app includes an optional diagnostic report feature that users may choose to send to the developer.
