Can This Hurt Me? is a mushroom risk-awareness tool. It uses photos and context to surface possible risk signals and uncertainty, and provides direct access to emergency guidance when needed. It is designed to be direct about what it can see and what it cannot know from photos alone.

What the app can do:

What the app does not do:

This app does not confirm a mushroom's identity. It does not determine whether a mushroom is safe to eat. It does not replace expert verification. It does not provide medical advice. No result from this app should be interpreted as permission to eat a mushroom.

Wild mushroom identification often requires in-person examination by a qualified expert. Photos alone cannot confirm identity, safety, freshness, contamination, or handling history.
