Shard is a quick-capture app for your Obsidian vault. The moment you open it, the cursor is ready — tap, type, send. Capture notes and tasks into your vault with the shortest possible path.

Open and write instantly The keyboard comes up the moment the app launches, so you never lose an idea. Notes are appended to your daily note as "- text (HH:mm)". Tasks are saved as "- [ ] text".

Straight into your vault Works with iCloud Drive, Obsidian Sync, and on-device vaults. It writes plain Markdown directly — no proprietary format, no lock-in. Shard reads your Obsidian "Daily notes" / "Periodic Notes" settings (folder and date format) and appends to the right file automatically.

Works offline Captures are written straight to your local vault — no network round-trip — so it works exactly the same offline. If your vault lives in iCloud and a file isn't ready yet, Shard saves the note and writes it as soon as it can.

Web Clipper Save web pages from any app's Share Sheet. Shard keeps a Markdown clip index in your vault, opens saved pages from the Clip tab, and lets you add bullet notes into an article note while you read.

Task management on mobile Pick one task file in your vault and manage it as plain Markdown checkboxes, right from your phone.
