HoopArea turns your phone into a shooting coach. Film your jump shot from the side, add a front-facing video too for the full picture, and HoopArea maps every joint in your shooting motion using AI-powered pose-detection. The score itself isn't an AI opinion though — it comes from transparent geometry, real angles and positions measured frame by frame.

What we measure From the side view: set-position elbow angle, release elbow extension, knee bend and knee drive at your load, follow-through height, wrist snap (the "gooseneck"), and arm direction at release. Add an optional front-facing video and HoopArea also catches what the side view can't see: elbow flare, guide-hand thumb flicks, and arm alignment at release.

How it works Pick a video from your library and HoopArea does the rest. AI pose-detection extracts your joints frame by frame, then geometry turns that into a score and feedback you can actually act on. Track your history and watch your scores improve rep by rep.
