A note from the maker

I made Crumbs because I missed the real, everyday lives of my friends.

Living in a different country from almost all of the people I’m closest to has made it harder to feel close in the everyday way. Not because we care less, but because we don’t naturally see the small parts of each other’s lives anymore like the random photos, the tiny complaints, the messy room, the coffee they got, the thing that made them laugh.

Social media lets us see each other, but so much of it feels polished or made for everyone. I didn’t miss the perfect version of my friends’ lives. I missed the real one.

So I made Crumbs as a small, gentle way to stay close without needing to be constantly online, without performing, and without turning friendship into another thing to keep up with.

Just little pieces of your week, shared with the people who matter. I hope it helps you feel a little more part of each other’s lives.
