Cloudbreak is a fast, private weather app for people who actually watch the sky — built with a fire-weather edge for anyone living in or near wildfire country.

Open it and you get a clean, honest read on right now: current conditions, an hourly strip you can scan at a glance, and a seven-day outlook — sourced from the U.S. National Weather Service and, in Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada. Tap any detail for a 24-hour chart of humidity, wind, pressure, UV, visibility, and more, or drag the sun along its arc to see exactly how much daylight is left.

Where Cloudbreak goes further is fire and air:

• Fire-weather risk — the day's expected max, from Low to Extreme, with the official drivers (humidity, wind, Haines index) and a 48-hour outlook, so an elevated day never catches you off guard. Official NWS data in the U.S.; a clearly-labeled modeled estimate anywhere else. Each day in the 7-day forecast is flagged for its peak fire risk, too. • A dedicated fire map — active incidents and perimeters, satellite hotspots, smoke, and historical burn scars (official USGS/USFS records for major fires), each a layer you can turn on or off, with a tap-through detail on every feature. • Smoke and air quality — live AQI with a multi-day outlook, plus NOAA smoke plumes on the map, so you know when to keep the windows shut. • National Weather Service and Environment Canada alerts — the most severe warning for your area, front and center.

Explore the weather visually: play NEXRAD radar forward past now with a short-range forecast, loop GOES GeoColor satellite imagery, read surface wind and temperature fields, and add lightning or air-quality overlays on top — with active-fire hotspots available over any of them.

Private by design We don't run servers that store your data, and there are no accounts to create. Your location is sent to public weather and fire-data providers only to fetch a forecast — it is never stored by us, never tied to your name, and never used to build a profile. No ads. No analytics. No third-party tracking. The keys for any station you connect stay in the Keychain on your device.
