German that fits your day
Most people don't quit German because it's hard. They quit because there is never a good moment for it.
WBuch turns learning into a plan your day can actually hold: short exercises at the hours you choose, each one built from the words you personally are learning.
BUILD YOUR DAY, NOT A STREAK YOU DREAD
Lay out your day in the schedule builder: a warm-up review after waking up, a word of the hour during work, fill-in-the-blanks over lunch, reading before bed. Drag exercises between blocks, set each block to Ease off / Normal / Push harder, and the plan resizes itself — fewer cards, shorter texts, or the other way round. A reminder arrives at every slot and takes you straight into the exercise. Today's screen shows what's done, what's next and what's overdue.
READING TEXTS WRITTEN AROUND YOUR WORDS
Every day you get a fresh German text on your chosen weekly theme — travel, work, health, technology, politics, 30+ themes aligned with the standard coursebook chapters. The text is generated from the words currently in your study queue, at your CEFR level, in the length your schedule asks for.
Tap any word to see its meaning and add it to study. Separable-prefix verbs, reflexives, verbs with a fixed preposition and idioms are marked as single units — so "ruft … an" or "sich freuen über" is explained as one thing, not three unrelated words.
A REAL DICTIONARY, NOT A WORD LIST
More than 160,000 German entries, each one a full article:
• full conjugation — present, Präteritum, imperative, subjunctive I/II, participles
• noun gender, declension, plural; adjective comparison
• government (Rektion): which preposition, which case, with examples
• separability, reflexivity, and a grammar constructor that rebuilds the example as you switch them
• idioms, collocations, compounds, word family, synonyms and antonyms
• example sentences with translations, frequency and CEFR level, pronunciation playback
Missing a word? Request it and a complete entry is generated for you. Spot a mistake? Report it in two taps.
REVIEWS THAT RESPECT YOUR MEMORY
Scheduling runs on FSRS — the modern spaced-repetition algorithm — so a word you know comes back in weeks, and a word you keep missing comes back tomorrow. The same word is trained from different angles: recognition cards, typing it out, cloze gaps inside real sentences, and building it from letters. "Problem words" collects everything you've been missing for the last two weeks so you can fix it in one sitting.
A LIBRARY WORTH OPENING
• Reading texts by level and theme
• Mediathek — German podcasts, YouTube channels, news and video, sorted by topic, with progress and favourites
• Ready-made word collections by level and topic (A1, A2, B1) — add a whole set to your studies in one tap
YOUR PROGRESS, HONESTLY
Streak with freeze days for the weeks life gets in the way, XP, weekly minutes, cards due, a 14-day chart, and your full answer history — kept even if you delete a word.

German is not learned in one heroic evening. It's learned in fifteen minutes a day that you never have to negotiate with yourself. WBuch is the schedule, the words and the explanations for exactly that.
