• Discover places around you Find historic buildings, monuments, museums, parks and other notable places on a map, in standard or satellite view. Sort the nearby list by Recommended, Closest or Popular, search it by name, and see how far away each place is.

• Follow your interests Filter the map by History, Architecture, Religion, Education, Nature, Art & Culture, Sports and Transport.

• Go beyond the name Open a place for a photo, a short summary and, where available, a street-level Look Around preview. Keep reading in a reader built for iPhone, with headings, photos, lists, fact tables and charts. Zoom in on images and see their credits where available.

• Listen to the story Press play to hear an article read aloud. Pause and resume whenever you like, with narration in the article's language when a matching voice is installed.

• Choose your article language Choose from 28 Wikipedia languages, follow your app language, or use the local language of the area you're exploring. Articles open in your chosen language when available, with English as a fallback. The app interface is available in 10 languages.

• Find your bearings with AR Explore Hold up your iPhone to see nearby places in their approximate direction, then open one to learn more. Available on compatible iPhones.

• Simple and private No account, no sign-up and no ads. GeoWiki has no server of its own: to find nearby articles, it sends the coordinates of the area you're exploring directly to Wikipedia. The camera is used only for AR Explore, and camera images are never saved or uploaded. GeoWiki supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver and Dark Mode.
