StoreControl gives you a complete overview of expiry dates — sorted by department.

Scan the barcode, enter the date, and items are automatically sorted by department.

For store employees, that means one walk through the store — not back and forth between departments.

Employees who join a room never pay anything.

— AUTOMATIC CATEGORIZATION — Known items are categorized automatically when scanned. Refrigerated and Dairy have detailed subcategories for precise sorting. Dry Goods, Beverages and several other categories cover the rest. Unknown items you categorize once — the category is remembered for next time.

— FOR STORES — The team feature lets your whole department work from the same list in real time. One employee scans, everyone sees it.

Tailor the department order to your store — every store has its own floor plan. Drag the departments into the right order, and the list follows the natural route you walk anyway.

— FOR HOME USE — Keep track of what you have in your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Get notified in good time — reduce food waste at home.

— HOW TO USE THE APP —

Scanning an item Tap + in the bottom right and point the camera at the barcode. Enter the expiry date and tap "Save item" — the item is automatically sorted into the right department.

Item without a barcode No barcode on the item? Tap + and then the camera button to take a photo of the item instead. A photo item gets a date and notification as usual, but isn't sorted into a department.

Deleting an item Swipe the item left and tap the trash can — or open the item and tap "Delete" at the bottom.

Changing the date Tap the text on an item to open it, and change the date there. (If you tap the photo, an enlarged image is shown instead.)

Department order (recommended for stores) Go to Settings (the gear icon, top right) and open Department order. First sort the main departments, then the subcategories (e.g. Refrigerated and Dairy). Think about the route your employees actually walk through the store — the list will follow the same path.

Inviting employees Open Settings (the gear icon, top right). There you'll find the room code employees use to join. Want to give someone more responsibility? Go to the employee list and make them a manager — a manager can remove employees and change the department order.

More in Settings Here you can also set how many days before expiry you want to be notified, remove employees, delete rooms, and create an extra room if you have several stores (max 2 rooms per subscription).

— TASKS (BETA) — Tasks is a new feature under development. Admins and managers can create tasks for employees — daily, weekly or one-time. For one-time tasks, you can require the employee to take a photo as proof the job was done. Employees see their tasks under the "Tasks" tab and check them off when finished.

Note: Tasks is in beta and still being developed — feedback is much appreciated.
