Features & Capabilities

Point your camera at a surface to read its color name plus HEX and RGB. Save palettes and export CSS/JSON with a one-time lifetime unlock.

ColorCue AR is an iPhone camera utility for identifying the color under a live reticle. It shows a plain-English color name, HEX, and RGB so you can understand a real-world surface, copy a value, or save a swatch without uploading images.

Designed for quick color checks:

  • Use a live reticle to sample the center of the camera view
  • Freeze a frame and move the reticle for a steadier reading
  • Copy the color name, HEX, or RGB value
  • See large, high-contrast results for accessible reading
  • Save swatches to a local palette after unlocking
  • Export palette values as JSON or CSS variables
  • Adjust sampling controls for more stable readings

ColorCue AR is focused on practical identification, not photo editing or official paint matching. It does not claim Pantone, RAL, NCS, or brand-library matching, and it does not use AI generation.

Camera frames are processed locally in memory. The app does not save raw camera frames, upload images, create accounts, or sync palettes to the cloud.

The Lifetime Unlock adds saved palettes, palette history, export tools, and advanced sampling controls. No subscription, no ads.
