That's the foundation on which NSS was built.

We are a cross-sectoral, transdisciplinary, and intersectional society for professionals advancing sustainability in all its forms, from academic researchers and policy advocates to community organizers and business leaders. What unites our members isn't a shared job title. It's a shared commitment to a future that is just, resilient, and healthy for all.

We believe meaningful progress happens when diverse knowledge meets. When rigorous research doesn't stay locked in journals, but flows into policy, practice, and public understanding. Through our annual conference and virtual programming, NSS provides sustainability professionals with the infrastructure to share what they know, challenge their assumptions, and co-create solutions that none of us could achieve alone
