START WITH YOUR FLUTE Choose the pitch and octave of your middle Sa. The six-hole reference shows covered, open and half-covered holes, with guidance for supported registers. Match your flute maker’s tuning convention before you begin.

BUILD A DAILY PRACTICE Begin with first-note guidance and a steady-tone drill. Follow Bhupali one held note at a time, then work through the riyaz path. Pitch feedback checks the written note, octave and order; quiet or unclear input pauses the assessment. Completed practice adds to your local history.

KEEP A REFERENCE CLOSE Use the tanpura for listening and practice, or the taal metronome for a pulse. When a listening drill starts, accompaniment pauses so it does not become part of your assessment.
