KIRIBAKO is a catch-logging app dedicated to Japanese freshwater small-fish angling — bitterlings (tanago), topmouth gudgeon, carp, and crucian carp.

Capture the delicate beauty of small fish, your devotion to bamboo rods and handmade tackle, and the memory of the waterside — one fish at a time, as if placing a specimen in a paulownia box. And your precious fishing spots stay only on your device, never exposed to the internet or social media.

● On-device AI species suggestion (8 species) Slender, Kanehira, Rosy, white-finned tabira and large bitterling, plus carp, crucian carp and topmouth gudgeon are identified by AI entirely inside your iPhone. Your photos are never sent anywhere. You can always adjust the species manually.

● Count multiple catches at once Log many fish from a single photo plus a count — ideal for tanago fishing, where you may land dozens in a day. Daily totals are tallied automatically.

● Coin-based length measurement Place a coin beside the fish and KIRIBAKO estimates the fork length using the coin as a reference. The figure is a rough guide and varies with shooting angle, but lets you record an approximate size in mm without a tape measure in the field.

● Location privacy by design All location data stays on your device. There is no cloud upload and no operator access. When you export a share image, its EXIF GPS is removed automatically.

● Tackle & rig notes Record your bamboo rods, tanago hooks, handmade rigs and bait for every trip.

● A map of your trips, for your eyes only See your catches as pins on a private map that only you will ever view.

KIRIBAKO ships with no ad SDKs and never sells your data. All data stays on your device. Try every feature free for 14 days; afterward you can keep viewing your records, and to keep adding and editing them, choose Kura (one-time) or Takumi (monthly). No ads, no data selling — just quiet support for your fishing.

■ Not covered

KIRIBAKO focuses on small freshwater fish. Large game fish (big carp, bass, etc.) are outside the AI species scope, though you can still log any fish by typing its name. Supported species for AI suggestion are the five bitterlings above plus carp, crucian carp and topmouth gudgeon (8 total).
