Blue-C

BlueC is the official mobile app of the Blue Carbon (Blue-C) project, dedicated to protecting and restoring the seagrass meadows and blue carbon ecosystems of the Black Sea.

Seagrass meadows are among the planet's most powerful natural carbon sinks. Although they cover less than 0.5% of the sea bed, they account for a large share of the carbon stored in ocean sediments. The Blue-C project works to map, monitor, and conserve these vital habitats through science, education, and regional cooperation.
