A round of polish: a clearer Photos import, the full list of airports everywhere, and fixes for the Mac app so place info and details windows just work.

Mapsake is a private, local-first travel atlas for the places you've visited, the places you've lived, and the places you're headed next. Switch between those three lenses to recolor your whole world, or see all three at once.

No ads. No account. No tracking. No analytics. Mapsake is completely free, and your map lives on your device and stays yours.

▶ A LIVING GLOBE

• A real satellite globe with stars behind it when you zoom out, streaming streets and terrain as you zoom in, with your countries painted on top.
• Color the map by your data: shade countries by how many photos you took, how recently you visited, or how long you stayed.
• Pins drop where you took photos. Tap one to flip through those shots full screen, each with its date, camera, location, altitude, and speed.
• Tap any country or region to open its place, its photos, and your dates there.
• Label with country names or flag emoji, float waving state and province flags, or turn labels off.
• Show countries as a translucent fill or a glowing outline in your own lens colors.

▶ MARK YOUR WORLD

• Mark places hierarchically: countries, states and provinces, cities, and airports.
• Search a bundled offline gazetteer, no network needed.
• Tune what counts: filter imported photos by device, altitude and speed (to drop in-flight shots), a minimum count, an exclude list, and screenshots.

▶ IMPORT (GET TO A FULL MAP FAST)

• Photos: build your map from this device's library, clustered and reverse-geocoded entirely offline. Nothing leaves your device.
• Immich and Google Drive: connect your self-hosted photo server or a Drive folder.
• NomadList, Skratch, Visited, Flighty, FlightRadar24, Tripsy, Polarsteps, and Airbnb: import from the apps and booking history you already use.
• Full JSON, CSV, Excel, and HTML export, backup, and restore.
• Opt any source into background sync and your map grows as you travel, with a notification when a new place is added.

• Polished, shareable stat cards: percent of the world, continents, flags, time spent, and per-lens breakdowns, in colorful swipeable styles.
• A live spinning-globe card you can share as a looping reel video.
• A shareable data map: the world shaded by your photos, recency, or time spent.
• Filter any card by region or year, with a sub-region breakdown, and recolor it to taste.

▶ ACHIEVEMENTS

• Around 160 achievements across continents, country groups (NATO, the EU, the Nordics, the Ring of Fire, wine countries, and more), and travel milestones.
• Bronze, silver, gold, and platinum tiers reward the top of each family.
• Tap any one for a detail card: a map that zooms to its region, glows the countries you're still missing, and shows your dates in each.

• A feed of the new places your friends add and the achievements they unlock.
• Compare maps privately over iCloud: send an invite link, scan a QR code, or add someone nearby.
• Compare head to head: an overlap map, who leads each continent, and shared achievements.
• Per-friend privacy: choose which lenses each friend can see, and stop sharing anytime.

▶ EVERYWHERE YOU ARE

• Runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with an Apple Watch app and complication and an Apple TV viewer.
• Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy widgets, Siri and Shortcuts, Spotlight, an iMessage app with stickers, and a Share Extension.
