Vitals, medicines, notes and updates for every patient in your care. Synced across your devices. Share a single patient with a client to keep them informed on their pet.

VetCare is a small-animal patient record for the clinic floor. Every patient's vitals, medicines, notes, daily updates and diagnostics live in one chart, on your device and in your own iCloud — no separate server, no sign-up, no second login. When it helps to bring the pet's owner into the picture, you can share a single chart with them in a couple of taps using Apple's built-in sharing.

TWO MODES - ONE APP

Admin Mode is the working surface for the practice. Full read and write access to every patient, with per-user audit trails behind a short PIN. Add and edit patients, record vitals, prescribe and administer medicines, write clinical notes, draft plain-English updates for the client, log diagnostics, and review everything chronologically on the patient's timeline.

Client Mode is the read-only surface for someone who has accepted a share. They see only the patient they were invited to follow, with the same clinical detail the team is working from. Client write-back is on the roadmap.

The mode is per-device, switchable any time in Settings, and never overrides identity — every write is still stamped with whoever signed in.

WHAT YOU CAN RECORD

Patients with species, breed, date of birth, admission date and status (Admitted, Observation, Stable, Critical, Discharged).

Vitals - temperature, heart rate, respiration rate, weight and free-text observations, plotted on a trend chart so movement over time is visible at a glance.

Medicines - a prescribe-then-administer flow with an offline drug catalogue. Each prescription captures intent (drug, dose, route, frequency, start/stop) and each administration captures the event (timestamp, who gave it, any deviation note).

Notes and updates - two separate streams. Notes are for the team, written in clinical voice. Updates are for the client, written in plain English. The most recent update appears on the dashboard so nobody has to open the chart to see what's new.

DIAGNOSTICS for imaging, labs and any other dated result.

Timeline - a single chronological view of everything that has happened to a patient, filterable by type and author. The fastest handover artefact at shift change.

SHARING WITH CLIENTS

Each patient can be shared individually using Apple's CloudKit Sharing. Send the invite link by Mail, Messages or AirDrop. The client needs an Apple ID and the app installed; they don't need an account with you. Revoke access from the patient's Sharing section at any time and the chart disappears from their device on next sync. There is no web dashboard, no third-party intermediary, and no clinic-wide data is ever exposed to a client — only the patients they were invited to follow.

iCLOUD

Records are stored locally and synced through your own iCloud container. The app keeps working offline; pending changes upload when the network returns. There is no developer-operated server in the loop.

BACKUP AND EXPORT

Export a versioned .vcare archive of selected patients, or an HTML report of a single chart for handing to a referring practice. Import the same .vcare file on another device with a conflict sheet for any overlapping records.

PINS

Every clinical write is stamped with the administrator who recorded it. A short PIN gates each session, and a configurable warm window (1, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes) avoids re-prompting during a round. PINs are stored as salted hashes on the device; the raw value never leaves it.

PRIVACY

No ads. No in-app purchases. No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs. The developer has no visibility of your patients, your clients or your records.

VetCare is not a medical device and does not provide diagnostic, prescribing or treatment advice. It is a record-keeping tool for use by qualified veterinary professionals.
