Foodbridge: Food Rescue

Foodbridge is a donation tracking app for food businesses and the nonprofits that receive from them.

Restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores often have surplus food that could be donated, but the record keeping makes it more trouble than it's worth. Foodbridge solves this by making it easier to track. A business packs a donation box, scans the QR code on it, and logs the contents. When a nonprofit picks the box up, they scan the same code and sign on their phone. The business receives a tax receipt that meets IRS Section 170(e)(3) requirements as soon as the donation is accepted. Nonprofits and food pantries use Foodbridge to accept incoming donations and keep a record of everything received, without paper logs or follow-up calls to donors.
