Scroll less, Mindful breaks.
Takmila is two things in one app, joined by a single idea:
A du'a companion powered by Apple's on-device language model. Tell it what's on your heart — anxious, grateful, sitting an exam, missing someone — and it picks an authentic du'a from a fixed corpus drawn from the Qur'an and Sunnah. The model can only choose from the corpus; it never authors Arabic, never issues religious rulings, never sends your words anywhere. It runs on your device.
And an app blocker that asks you to sit with a du'a before you scroll on. You choose the apps. You set the daily limit. When you exceed it, Takmila's shield replaces the app with a verse from the Qur'an. To lift the shield, open Takmila and complete a brief du'a, dhikr, or guided breath. The boundary is yours — set by you, lifted by you, with a small moment of intention in between.
Built on Apple's frameworks the way Apple intended: Foundation Models (on-device Apple Intelligence), Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings, and ShieldConfiguration. No account. No analytics. No tracking. No data leaves your device.
◆ Du'a Companion (the headline) Open the Du'a tab, write a sentence about your situation, and Apple's on-device AI suggests one to three du'as from our corpus, in Arabic with transliteration, translation, and source. The model is constrained to the corpus — it cannot invent or alter sacred text. The Du'a Companion screen carries a visible disclaimer: suggestions only, not rulings.
◆ Boundaries (the second headline) In the Boundaries tab, pick apps via Apple's Family Activity Picker and set a daily budget from 15 minutes upward. When you trip your own limit, the shielded app shows a verse instead of opening. Coming back requires a brief moment inside Takmila. (Requires Family Controls authorization on a real device.)
◆ Reflect — what fills the pause A library of unlock content. A rotating verse, hadith, or remembrance. The 99 Names of Allah, traditionally ordered. A library of Sunnah prayers — when each is performed and how many rak'ahs.
◆ Today — the resting place A calm landing page. The day's verse. The next prayer time at a glance. Boundaries status. No notifications you didn't set.
◆ Designed like a manuscript Deep midnight ink, gold leaf, parchment. Calm by default. Reduce Motion respected.
◆ Privacy by construction No account. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. No data leaves your device. Family Controls selections live in your device's App Group container. The on-device AI is on-device.
Religious content is drawn from established sources (Qur'an, Hisnul Muslim, Tirmidhi 3507 for the 99 Names chain) and cited inside the app.
Takmila does not give religious rulings. For matters of fiqh, please consult a scholar.
