Web Clips automatically adapts to your context:

Managed mode (MDM): as soon as a configuration profile is detected on the device, the app switches to read-only mode. Content is entirely controlled by the administrator — users cannot modify anything. Ideal for school-managed iPad fleets.

Free mode: without MDM configuration, each user can manage their own list of links — add, edit, reorder and delete their web shortcuts. Perfect for personal use, outside the managed school context.

DESIGNED FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Administrators deploy and update the list of web resources remotely via an MDM configuration profile. The app is operational as soon as the profile is installed on the device.
