Digital fingerprint capture for funeral professionals — quick and respectful.

Abdruck digital makes fingerprint capture in funeral practice simple, mobile, and traceable. The app was built from practice: funeral directors need a reliable way to capture fingerprints of deceased persons on site — as the basis for memorial jewelry, keepsake pendants, or digital archiving on behalf of the bereaved. That's why we created this app together with Pur Solutions (https://nano-erinnerungsschmuck.de/).

WHAT THE APP DOES

• Mobile capture – Take fingerprints at the place of care using the iPhone camera. Guided capture with visual feedback keeps quality consistent.

• Loose folder – Record cases without an existing work order and assign them to the responsible team member later. Optional GPS location (funeral home, place of preparation) and free-text description help associating the correct order later.

• Work orders – Existing orders from the backend appear directly in the app. Fingerprints are unambiguously linked to the order.

• On-device image processing – Captures are pre-processed locally (skin detection, alignment, crop) before upload. This means capture works even in rooms with unstable networks; upload resumes automatically once connectivity returns.

• Secure transport – Short-lived authentication tokens, encrypted credential storage via the iOS Keychain.

PRIVACY AND RESPONSIBILITY

Abdruck digital is used exclusively in a professional context by trained funeral staff. Capture happens on behalf of and with consent from the bereaved. Data is transmitted over a secured connection to a backend service operated by your organisation; Abdruck digital itself runs no public cloud, no advertising, no third-party tracking. REQUIREMENTS

• Account in the associated backend system (samtblau / Abdruck digital). • iPhone with iOS 13.0 or newer, camera, optional GPS for loose-folder geolocation.
