A movie club for your group
Reelay turns your group chat's "what are we watching?" loop into a real movie club.
Build a small private group with your siblings, your best friends, your partner — anyone you watch movies with. Reelay decides whose turn it is to pick, hides everyone's ratings until the whole group has watched, and quietly builds a shared history of your taste.
WHOSE TURN IS IT?
Round-robin order, set the first time your group hits two members. The next picker gets pinged. No one has to remember whose turn it was last month.
PICK A FILM
Search The Movie Database in-app, set "Up Next," leave a short "why I picked this" note. Your group sees the poster, the note, and a Where to Watch sheet with deep links into Netflix, Max, Apple TV+, Hulu, Disney+, Prime Video, Criterion Channel, Mubi, and more.
WATCH ON YOUR OWN TIME
Each member marks Watched and rates the film on a five-star, half-star scale, with an optional one-line note. Ratings stay hidden — even from yourself — until the whole group has weighed in.
THE REVEAL
When the last person marks Watched, every rating lights up at once. Members' stars and notes appear together, with a copy line that reacts to the shape of the group's response: "Instant club classic," "Your group was deeply divided," "Polarizing — but you got it."
MOVIE NIGHT TIMELINE
Every completed pick lives in a paper-styled scrapbook — picker, picker note, group average, every member's reaction. It becomes a slow-growing record of who you were when you watched what.
GROUP TASTE STATS
• Chaos Award — your group's most divisive film
• Perfect Pick Score — who's best at choosing for the group, not themselves
• Taste Twins — the two members whose ratings are most aligned
• Taste Profiles — emergent archetypes that surface once the data is real (Generous Grader, Tough Grader, Crowd Pleaser, Chaos Goblin)
• Director / Actor / Studio Affinity — who your group loves and who they don't
DESIGNED FOR THE LOVE OF MOVIES
Cinema-dark UI, hand-set typography, sprocket-bar progress, scrapbook stamps on revealed picks. Built for the kind of group that takes their movie nights seriously.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No public feed. No followers. No discoverability. Every group is invite-only via a shareable link. Your ratings and notes are only visible to people you invited, and only after the whole group has watched.
