Turn your photos into journeys
New in 1.6: bend any route through a waypoint, and never lose a Wander — automatic iCloud backups plus a 30-day undo for anything you delete. Go Wander.
Wander turns the photos from any journey into the route you traveled.
Pick the geotagged photos from a stroll, a hike, a bike ride, a road trip — even a flight — and Wander draws the route between every stop, in capture order: locked to real streets and trails on land, a clean line across water or sky. Replay the whole journey on the map, tap any pin to see the photo you took there, and share the result.
FEATURES
• Photos to route — pick geotagged photos and Wander builds your path automatically, sorted by capture time and snapped to real streets and trails.
• Every kind of journey — mark any leg as running, cycling, hiking, driving, a train, a boat, or a flight. Wander even reads the clues (trail names, pace, elevation) and suggests: "Looks like a hike." You decide.
• Waypoints — shape a route through an extra place you didn't photograph, or set one as your start or end so a train trip draws from the station, not your first photo. Make it a round trip that returns home, and give a waypoint its own elevation to complete your climb.
• People — add the people who shared the journey, from Contacts or created on the spot. Attach them to a Wander (or just part of one) and browse every journey you've taken together.
• Photo pins — every photo becomes a pin on the map. Tap one to see the photo. Nearby photos cluster under a single pin with a count, a star marks each stop's cover photo, and full-screen photos are titled with when and where they were taken.
• Replay your journey — press play and watch a marker travel your route from start to finish. A picture-in-picture viewer follows along, showing each stop's photo as you pass it.
• Elevation chart — see how high you climbed. Wander reads altitude from your photos' GPS data and draws a smoothed elevation curve, synced to playback.
• Logbook — every Wander is saved automatically with a fun auto-generated name (Morning Stroll, Afternoon Trek…). Organize with folders in their own colors and symbols — or Smart Folders that fill themselves from rules, like runs with Ben but not Sam. Favorites, filters by activity or person, and search by name, place, or date.
• Never lose a Wander — your whole library backs up to your own iCloud Drive, daily if you like, and restores if anything goes wrong. Deleted Wanders wait 30 days in Recently Deleted, so you can bring them back.
• On iPhone and iPad — Wander is universal, and your Logbook syncs privately across your devices through your own iCloud, not our servers.
• Share — send any Wander as a polished card carrying the route, the stats, a featured photo, and an optional elevation chart. Frame it just how you like with a drag and a pinch, pick a standard or satellite map, light or dark, in portrait, square, or landscape.
• Beautiful and native — clean, modern Liquid Glass design built right on Apple Maps.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up.
• Your photos never leave your device — Wander reads the ones you choose right where they are and builds your route on the device.
• No tracking, no ads, no analytics.
• The one thing Wander ever sends off-device is optional: if you look up a waypoint's elevation, it sends just that single map coordinate to an elevation service to fetch its height. Leave it off and nothing is ever transmitted.
Wander uses your photos' capture time and location to draw your route. Photos without a location or a date are simply skipped.
Go Wander.
