Eye Control Yes No is a simple and accessible communication aid that allows users to respond with two or three choices.

The app displays large, clear, easy-to-understand visual cards. It can be used to answer Yes and No, or to add a third intermediate card such as Maybe.

Each person can choose the validation method best suited to their abilities: by gaze, by directly tapping a card, or by swiping on the screen.

On devices compatible with Face ID and the TrueDepth camera, an answer can be validated by looking at a card for an adjustable dwell time.

Answers can also be selected with simple gestures: • a vertical swipe selects Yes; • a horizontal swipe selects No.

The Features submenu allows each validation method to be enabled or disabled individually: gaze, touch or swipe. The “Intermediate card” option adds a third card between Yes and No.

With version 2, the app allows users to create personalised themes with 2 or 3 cards. They can be adapted to everyday needs: emotions, mealtime, health, comfort, activities, people, places or any other situation.

Each personalised card can include: • custom text; • a colour; • an emoji; • a photo selected from the iPhone; • a photo taken directly with the camera.

Themes can be imported or exported so they can be easily shared with other people: family members, carers, healthcare professionals, educators or support workers.

An emoji library organised by category is included to make card creation easier: communication, needs, health, emotions, mealtime, drinks, hygiene, comfort, activities, people, places, actions, time, quantity, social, objects, emergency and sensory.

Once a card is selected, the answer is spoken aloud. The user can choose between a female and a male voice. The app automatically selects the best available voice on the iPhone in the chosen language.

Many languages and regional variants are available. On first launch, the app automatically selects the language matching the iPhone. Any language chosen later is saved for future use.

The user can also choose between light mode and dark mode.
