Evie is an AI voice assistant for families, built around a single idea: your child's conversations never leave the device.

Speech recognition, the language model, and the neural voice all run on the Apple Neural Engine. No sign-up, no cloud, no analytics, no data sharing. After a one-time model download, Evie works offline forever.

NATURAL VOICE CHAT Push to talk and hear a reply that streams sentence-by-sentence, so the voice starts almost instantly. Type instead in quiet rooms — same model, no audio. Replay any answer aloud.

AUDIENCE-AWARE PERSONA • Little (Under 5): tiny words, very short replies, slowest pace. • Kid (5–10): short answers, gentle tone, warm vocabulary. • Teen (11–17): more depth, still safe and curious. • Adult: persona-neutral, no length cap. Tone, reply length, and speaking pace are tunable per audience; parents can add extra instructions (Pro).

LEARNING MODES • Socratic — answers with guiding questions. • Storyteller — listen, or co-create together (Pro). • Curious Scientist (Pro) — mechanism-first explanations full of wonder. • Calm Bedtime — quiet, slow-paced, winding-down replies.

LESSONS A program that teaches how to think, not just facts, across four tracks: Independent Thinking, AI Cognition, Emotion & Responsibility, and Child Entrepreneur. Each lesson blends reviewed, authored steps with a friendly "say it your way" moment, plus a companion guide for parents. The first lesson in every track is free; the rest unlock with Pro.

PARENT MODE Controls sit behind a simple math challenge so kids can't change their own settings. Set daily allowed hours and weekdays, and whether kids can clear their own history.

ON-DEVICE SAFETY MONITORING A two-tier classifier flags concerning child utterances (self-harm, possible abuse, fear or threat, bullying, distress, substances, aggression) to the parent only — never to the cloud, never to us. Any reply can be reported for parent review.

MULTIPLE PROFILES (Pro) Each family member gets their own history, settings, and safety state.

CONVERSATION HISTORY Browse, resume, rename, or delete sessions. Full-text search and export are Pro.

THEMES Five looks — Original, Storybook, Playful, Sunshine, Picnic — plus a gentle weather backdrop.

EVIE PRO Monthly, Annual, or one-time Lifetime — all unlock the same Pro features: multi-profile, Storyteller co-create, Curious Scientist, the full Lessons catalog, history search and export, and per-audience extra instructions. Everything else — voice and typed chat, all audiences, Socratic / Storyteller / Bedtime, parent mode, allowed hours, safety monitoring, and the first lesson of every track — is free.
