OptiFuelUK helps UK drivers find the cheapest place to fill up along their planned route. Not just the lowest price per litre — the real total, including the fuel burnt on the detour to get there.

Why "cheapest" isn't always cheapest

A station 5 km off your route at 1p/L less might cost you more once you factor in the extra fuel you'd burn driving the diversion. OptiFuelUK does the maths for you. For every station within your chosen corridor of the route, it computes:

Fill cost (litres × £/L)

• Detour cost (extra km × your vehicle's efficiency × £/L) = Total trip cost

Then ranks the candidates by total, not by sticker price.

Privacy

• No accounts. Nothing to sign up for. • No ads. No third-party SDKs of any kind. • No analytics. No tracking. • Your vehicle profile, recent routes, and journey history stay on your device.

The only outbound traffic is to Apple (for maps and routing) and to the UK Government's Fuel Finder service (for fuel prices).

Data

Fuel-price data is provided by the UK Government's Fuel Finder service under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Forecourt prices update at least every 30 minutes as retailers report them — a legal requirement under the Motor Fuel Price (Open Data) Regulations 2025.

OptiFuelUK is built for UK retailers and currencies (£/L, miles, litres). It is unaffiliated with VE3 Global Ltd or the UK Government.
