PageSage turns any PDF into a focused reading workspace. Import a textbook, a research paper, a long report, or a manual, and use AI to read it your way — by skim, by chapter, by chat, or by ear.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Read — Open any PDF you have on this device, in iCloud Drive, or shared from another app. The reader supports continuous scrolling, page jumps, an outline panel for chapter navigation, and a built-in search.

• Summarize — Generate a structured summary of the entire document, a single chapter, or only the page you are looking at. Summaries appear as clean Markdown with headings and bullet points.

• Chat — Ask questions about the content of the PDF. The AI answers based on the document and can cite the page it pulled the answer from. Follow-up questions remember the previous turn, so you can dig deeper without repeating yourself.

• Selection actions — Highlight any passage and tap Explain, Translate, or Rephrase to get a quick AI take without leaving the page.

• Listen — Switch to the Listen tab to have any PDF read aloud using high-quality on-device speech. Variable speed from 0.5x to 2x, lock-screen and Control Center playback, and continuous reading across pages.

• Library — Pin frequently-read documents, sort by recently opened, and resume from your last page automatically.

PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

• PDFs you import live in the app’s sandbox on this device. • No account, no sign-up, no analytics SDK, no advertising tracker. • Read-aloud uses on-device speech — your text is never sent off-device for that feature. • When you request a summary, chat, or selection action, the relevant excerpt is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic Claude, hosted by Replicate) and the response is streamed back. We do not store your PDFs server-side. • You can wipe every PDF, summary, and chat with one tap in Settings → Delete all local data.

ABOUT AI OUTPUT

AI summaries and answers can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify important information against the original PDF. Do not rely on AI output as medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Q: Does it work without an internet connection? A: Reading and read-aloud work offline. Summary, Chat, and selection actions need a network connection because they call an AI model.

Q: Are my PDFs uploaded somewhere? A: PDFs are stored locally. Only the excerpt relevant to your request is sent when you trigger an AI feature.

Q: Can I import scanned PDFs? A: AI features depend on the PDF having extractable text. Image-only scans need to be OCR’d in another app first.

Q: Is there a desktop or Android version? A: Currently iOS only.
