GC Surge is the mobile installer companion for Genie. It links your security site to alarm monitoring in minutes—scan a site key, see your cameras, and let the app finish setup while you stay on the device list.

Built for technicians and site administrators who already have a site key from their organisation.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Connect to your site — Enter your site key or scan the QR code from your install sheet. • Site Devices — View every camera registered to the site with real-time setup status (checking, configuring, ready, or needs attention). • Automatic configuration — The app automatically provisions the network environment and syncs your video feeds—no extra taps required once setup starts. • Genie Discovery — Scan your local Wi‑Fi network for compatible ONVIF cameras when you are on the same LAN. • Device inspection — Review critical camera metadata, connection status, and diagnostic channel details to ensure everything is operating correctly. • Live stream preview — Instantly verify a channel plays successfully before leaving the site. • Guided onboarding — Three simple steps: connect, monitor the live deployment list, and track device status updates. • Personalise the app — Light, dark, or system theme; multiple languages including English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, Polish, and Arabic.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Connect — On Home, scan your site key QR code or type the key and tap Connect to site.
2. Wait — You land on Site Devices. Stay on that screen while statuses update; deployment optimizations run in the background.
3. Confirm — When a camera shows Ready, that device is complete. If you see a warning, join the same Wi‑Fi as the cameras and tap Retry configuration. Use Refresh to reload or Disconnect site to switch sites.

NETWORK DISCOVERY

While on site Wi‑Fi, use Discover current network to find ONVIF devices on your LAN. Run connectivity diagnostics, validate device access, and verify configuration parameters when troubleshooting before or after site connection.

REQUIREMENTS

• A valid site key from your organisation administrator. • Wi‑Fi connection on the same network as cameras for discovery and configuration retries. • Camera permission to scan site key QR codes. • Local network access permissions to discover ONVIF devices on your LAN.
