The tool you need is already in a friend's garage. FriendsWithTools is a private, invite-only app for sharing tools with your friends, family, and neighbors. See what they own, borrow what you need, and keep track of everything you've lent.

How It Works

• Create a private group for your street, family, or crew — or join one with an invite from a friend.
• Add your tools with photos, or check off common ones with the quick-add wizard.
• Browse what your groups are sharing and send a borrow request.

What You Get

• Groups for your street, your family, your club, or your crew.
• Borrow requests with clear approvals, so both sides always know where things stand.
• Loan tracking with due dates: what's out, what's due back, and what you've borrowed.
• Reminders when a loan is due back, and a nudge when one is overdue.
• Threads with each owner or borrower, right in the app.
• A wishlist, so friends know which tools you're looking for.

What We Don't Do

• No payments. Core borrowing and lending is always free.
• No strangers. Every group is invite-only, so you always know who has your tools.
• No public listings. Your tools are visible only to the groups you share them with.

No ratings, no reputation scores, no public profiles — trust here is built on real relationships, and what you share stays inside your groups.

Premium and Commercial Plans Friends With Tools is free to use, and borrowing and lending are always free. Optional Premium and Commercial subscriptions add more for people who manage a lot of tools and loans. Premium and Commercial are offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store account settings.
